HIV COUNSELING & TESTING

Anonymous or confidential testing for HIV is offered to the general public at all of our sites. HIV testing is free of charge but donations are suggested.

Whitman-Walker Clinic uses a rapid HIV test that delivers results in less than an hour.

Testing is available without an appointment.

HIV Mobile Testing Unit

Whitman-Walker Clinic operates a mobile HIV testing unit that goes into communities at risk and provide HIV testing and prevention education.

Testing is also available at the STD Clinic from 6:00-7:30 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Elizabeth Taylor Medical Center

Testing is also performed at festivals, health fairs and other community agencies.

Special Testing

  • Testing for Spanish speaking clients is available.
  • Testing for the Hearing Impaired is also available. Individual appointments can be arranged by calling 202-745-6129 through a relay service.
