HIV COUNSELING & TESTING

Confidential testing for HIV is offered to the general public at all of our sites. HIV testing is free of charge but donations are suggested.

Whitman-Walker Clinic uses a rapid HIV test that delivers results in 20 minutes.

Testing is available without an appointment.

HIV Mobile Testing Unit

Whitman-Walker Clinic operates a mobile HIV testing unit that goes into communities at risk and provides HIV testing and prevention education.

Mobile Testing for the Week of July 26:

Tuesday, July 27 - Miriam's Kitchen, 2401 Virginia Ave., NW, 4:00-6:00 pm and Giant, 1345 Park Rd., NW, 6:30-9:00 pm

Thursday, July 29 - "Beat the Streets," 2300 Ainger Place, SE, 4:00-7:00 pm.

Elizabeth Taylor Medical Center, 1701 14th St., NW

Max Robinson Center, 2301 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., SE

Special Testing

• Testing for Spanish speaking clients is available.
• Testing for the Hearing Impaired is also available. Individual appointments can be arranged by calling 202-797-4454 through a relay service. 
• Testing is also available at the STD Clinic from 6:00-7:30 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Elizabeth Taylor Medical Center.
• Testing is also performed at festivals, health fairs and other community agencies. For more information, visit the Community Health page.
