GAY MEN'S PEER COUNSELING
Need to Talk to Someone?
Coming out, relationships, job issues, health
concerns, self-esteem-if something is troubling you, we may
be able to help.
Our Services
Talking often helps, especially with men
who have experienced the kind of problem that you are facing.
These men will listen to you and can relate first-hand to
you and your concerns.
Gay Men's Peer Counseling of Whitman-Walker
Clinic offers short-term, goal oriented counseling for individuals and couples.
Our trained counselors can help you regardless
of your race, age, marital status, disability, or comfort
level in the gay community. Perhaps you want to talk because
you are not sure you are gay. Our counselors will listen and
offer reassurance and encouragement to help you explore all
options.
Who We Are
Since 1976, Gay Men's Peer Counseling has
been helping gay and bisexual men solve the special problems
that often go along with being gay. The volunteer counselors
are men familiar with Washington's gay community. Most Peer
Counselors are not professional psychotherapists, but all
have had counseling training and have experienced the benefits
of successful counseling. They want to help you deal with
the kinds of tough issues they too have faced.
