Kimpton Supports the LGBT Community
Kimpton and its employees are very involved in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) communities both locally and nationally. Every year the company sponsors a Red Ribbon Campaign to generate awareness and funds for local HIV service agencies. Locally, Kimpton make donations to area LGBT charities and host events for local community groups at its facilities in the Washington metropolitan area.

In 2005, Kimpton received a 100 percent score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's Corporate Equality Index, which evaluated LGBT personnel and community outreach activities.
