We Are Family
Many lesbians are raising children and many more are
considering parenthood. LSP provides support groups,
educational workshops and community events to insure
that we all have accurate information to help guide your
family planning process and to help those already raising
children. We also offer educational seminars on topics
such as ABCs of Donor Insemination, Legal Issues for Lesbian Families, and Adoption Primer.

Considering Parenthood?
Maybe Baby classes provide an introduction to the primary issues and topics
we need to understand and explore before starting our families including
legal issues, financial planning, donor selection, adoption resources, parenting styles, cultural and religious factors and coming out as parents. For those pursuing donor insemination (DI), we offer a DI Support Group each month. This group - for those who have begun or will soon begin to inseminate - focuses on fertility issues, planning for pregnancy, labor and delivery, and provides support through the emotional roller coaster of trying to conceive. We offer a bi-weekly pregnancy support group for women and their partners at any stage of pregnancy.

Parenting Support at LSP
We provide referrals to lesbian-friendly OB/GYNs, attorneys, doulas,
midwives, birthing classes and financial planners.
